A Morning of Purpose, Reflection & Connection
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, Balance the Scales, encourages communities to examine inequities that persist across
health, opportunity, safety, and representation—while celebrating progress and inspiring collective action. The breakfast provides a
welcoming environment for meaningful discussions, shared experiences, and connection between local leaders, professionals, families, and
community members.
About the Theme: Balance the Scales
The 2026 International Women’s Day theme shines a light on practical actions needed to create fairness and opportunity for women and girls.
These include improving:
- health access and wellbeing
- economic and career opportunities
- community safety and justice pathways
- representation in leadership and decision‑making
- access to support services
The theme calls on communities to recognise inequality and work collaboratively toward inclusive, measurable change.
